why have this listed, if there isn't a way to download or get the pattern to make this bag

Great pattern and idea. Sewing with leather or vinyl can be tricky and you do need to use the correct size needle and sewing foot. Check out some instructional videos on sewing with leather and vinyl before beginning this project if you are unsure and practice on some scraps first to get the feel of it. Sometimes I need to remind myself to do this to avoid my own goofy frustration! Great pattern and project!

The bag looks really nice, especially with the top stitching and the points on the ends of the straps. What stitch length did you use? It looks longer than what I typically use. I have never sewn leather. Any tips or tricks beside using needles for leather?

OK..I made this. I had a few issues. I found I had to use a tiny bit of glue to hold the vinyl together as well as using quilt clips to secure the material while sewing. I also had to use a teflon foot and "invisible" tape on my throat plate. I made sure I used a longer thread stitch as well. The tote came out very well.

I'm going to try and make this out of vinyl instead...should work...

I absolutely love to make these leather bags and they turn out so beautiful and look great. I have made 2 so far but I did some decorating on the front of mine. I do like the way these straps are made better with the V on the end instead of straight across. It says for Intermediate sewers but I do think a beginner can accomplish this leather bag with no problem. So go ahead and make you one but be careful telling someone you made it when they ask where you got it from because they will be asking you to make them one. A very well done tutorial.

I love how simple yet classy this bag is! Definitely making it soon.

This bag is soooo cute. Thanks!
