I can't say that I have a favorite mug rug pattern (yet) but I DO have a favorite mug rug. I found it years ago and is filled with cinnamon and (I think) sand. It's heavy enough to stay in place and smells Oh so wonderful when you put a warm mug on it!

I like the flag mug rug, but if I had to choose from all the above patterns, I would choose the schoolhouse chalkboard place mat. Wouldn't the kids have fun with that!

Mug rugs were pretty popular for awhil in the late 1980s,early 90s. Many of them had spices sewn into them, so that when you put a hot cup on them, it released the aroma. I had one that had cinnamon in it, but the smell always made me hungry when I used it, lol! Judy L
