Is it just me or do the roman blinds look so much better than the mini blinds so many of us have? This takes window treatment to the next level without having to shell out a whole lot of money.

I like the fabric pattern on these Roman blinds. I believe them to be a doable DIY window project however careful measuring is critically important, particularly with equal placement of the pockets for the dowel rods. Lining the blinds might be a nice touch. The tutorial is very helpful in breaking up all the steps.

I have admired roman shades because they do look impressive. I never thought about making any until I ran across this post. When you think shade, you really don't think washable, but this shows that they can be which is a added bonus. Planning my trip to the fabric store now.
