I have made swifter pads by knitting or crocheting them but never thought about sewing one. This is great. The chenille sock is perfect and you can find them in the dollar store. I have not bought the swifter pads in a long time since I started making them. You wash them after use and save money. Thanks for the patterns.

Perfect! This is a great idea. I get request all the time to crochet Swiffer pads. I found the pattern on AllfreeCrochet. I like the idea that I can sew them also. Each time you are not throwing something into the trash, you are saving a piece of the environment. I love that idea. And who doesn't have that one extra sock? I save them for months thinking the other will show up or have to throw away both pairs due to a hole.

A reusable and washable Swiffer sock! This is a great upcycle idea. Store bought pads are expensive and of course made to throw away after each use. Sewing together one from an orphan slipper sock is easy after reading through the accompanying tutorial. Important that the cover fit snuggly or it tends to slide off after a few strokes.
