How to Organize Your Bags and Purses

If you lose everything in the black holes that are your bags and purses, you'll want something like this Basic Purse Organizer, and some other tips help you find everything you need. Here are some tips:

  1. Store everything except make up, jewelry, and chargers in a separate tote or compartment within your bags and purses. This way, you'll know where everything but those items are at all times. You should be sure that you can see everything inside this tote or compartment because if you can't see it, you won't use it.
  2. Clean out your make up bag! Beauty product experts recommend you throw out:
    1. Mascara after 3 months
    2. Lipgloss or lipstick after 3-6 months
    3. Blush and bronzer after 1 year
    4. Eyeshadow after 2 years
    5. Brushes after 3-6 months
  3. Get or make a jewelry organizer to prevent tangling like these:
    1. Travel Jewelry Case Tutorial
    2. Classy Little Jewelry Pouch Tutorial
  4. Get or make a cord holder like these to keep those chargers from tangling:
    1. Posh Leather DIY Cord Organizer
    2. Make a Carrier for Cords

See, you don't have to stress out at the messy state of your bags and purses! You just need a few extra things to help you with organizing. Organizing with these tips will also help you to easily tranfer things from purse to purse or bag to bag.

What a great idea! I am so tired of switching stuff from purse to purse and this solves that dilemma, because I can make it to fit my smallest purse and switch it to the larger one. Which gives me the idea of making two smaller ones so I can add more stuff to the bigger purse! Love being able to,customize it for size and color and type of fabric! Great project!

This basic purse organizer project was one of my favorites for three years and remains to be a fantastic organizer. The instructions are simple to follow.

This is a great idea to make this purse organizer and just change it out in a purse you made. I rummage through my purse and can never find anything because things shift around in my purse and pockets are never right size. I love that you can make your own pockets to fit what you need to carry with you and you will always know where your things are. A must have and great tutorial. Thanks. Anyone else need a purse organizer ?

I don't know about you, but I definitely stuff way too much into my purse. This pattern would be super helpful to keep it all organized so I'm not wasting time digging through my purse for what I need.

Trying to download pattern and am having difficulty following the download directions?? Help!
