I am a self-confessed tote and bag (and shoes!) NUT and I fell in love with this fabric the instant I saw it so could not resist making this tote to go with the umpteen totes I already have. The tutorial is detailed and quite easy to follow so do not be put off by the Intermediate rating. Remember you can always unpick and redo if that is what is needed. That is how we all learn from our mistakes, lol!

I Have made so many tote bags and will make some more. I do not buy any because they are so easy to make and you can design your own to suit you. You can make them any size, use any closure and make straps to length you like. This is a great tutorial and I do love the grommets and rope for the handle. I have not tried that yet. You can even personalize them with initials. This is easy for a beginner too.

The fabric used for this bag is so nice looking! I love the way the bag looks beachy with the rope strap. I've never used no tool grommets before but they sound amazing to me because I can't stand using a grommet tool. I can't wait to try this pattern out and I hope I can find a nice fabric similar to this one. It has a lovely design.

This is such a great bag! The tutorial is so easy to follow. The bag looks great! I made one with the directions provided, then I made another with a lighter fabric. It created a completely different bag with the same great look, but for everyday use. I am definitely going to keep this pattern handy. With this, you can create simple bags for every occasion!

I'm not normally a huge fan of tote bags, but I like how expensive this bag looks. It looks like it could be a Vineyard Vines bag, so it's a great project for summer!

How cute is this DIY bag for summer!? This looks like it came straight from a store; what a cute project!
