Blend the beauty of quilting and the convenience of making your own bag with The Conversation Bag. This colorful and cute free purse pattern would make a great purse to take on the road. It is roomy and big, letting you bring just about anything along that you might need by your side. Plus, this pattern is a great way to use up old pieces of fabric. Even better, this free bag pattern is completely printable.

Here in South Africa I am not familiar with what a charm pack is so had to be a bit creative but this was, none the less, a really nice project to make and I am really very happy with my bag! The instructions are quite detailed and there are also quite a few photos that help a lot so do not be put off by the Intermediate rating if you are relatively new to sewing.

I am a beginner here and I look forward to learning new things to sew as well as other projects i can learn from.

This is a beautiful Bag. I have never quilted yet but I have a lot of fabric pieces left over from fabrics I have used that I am going to cut in quilt squares to attempt one of these bags. The Designer did explain this tutorial very well. This bag shows off two talents quilting and sewing. And I liked the way the designer put in the zipper. Love the handles it gives it a polished look .Anyone would be very happy with one of these bags. There is hardly any places around here to buy nice leather handles. Can anyone tell me a good site online?

This is a great structured bag! It takes a little more work than a simple tote, but the difference is worth it! I love all the pockets. I've always admired those little packages of quilt squares, but don't make quilts, so now I'm excited to have the opportunity (excuse) to buy them! )

Beautiful bag! I like that it comes with so many explanations, that is great. I cant believe that this is a free pattern too. The Designer has put so much work into writing this just for her viewers, wow! I can only imagine the multitude of color combinations that can be done using this pattern I truly have nothing negative to say. My only question is does this Designer have a book?

where do you get the handles????

HI! For handles like the ones featured on this bag, you would have to purchase them at your local craft shop or online. If you want to know where the handles on this project came from, I suggest commenting over on the designer's post so she can steer you in the right direction. Thanks! There are all kinds of purse parts at fabric and craft stores. It's not a big section, so you would probably miss them if you weren't looking for them. There are also online sources for purse parts. And don't forget all those cute little charms you can add to your bag to personalize it!
