Useful Geometric Purse

From the Blogger: "I love a project that is quick to make and uses next to nothing in fabric and supplies. This little geometric purse is great for all of those tasks like iPod storage, coins, or jewellery. It is a great seller for craft fairs and always appreciated as a gift. Best of all, a confident sewist can make it in an hour. Change to look with different fabrics and plough through the scrap basket. It uses less than a fat 8th - just perfect for a favourite scrap that you cannot bear to get rid of."

Nice little project. I could see making these out of upholstery fabric scraps for a stiffer feel, or even very stiff Pellon interfacing ironed onto fabric, or even a stiffened denim that could be coated with decopage or spray starch first. These would make a cute party favor for a little girls birthday, or even as a bridal shower favor gift added touch would be to put an initial on them!

Cute Cute Cute. This reminds me of the little plastic coin purses we had seen growing up only they were not a triangle. I remember my grandmother getting us change out of one. Great memories. Do they still have them? This is a nice twist off of them. I would love to make some for my grands but I also will look for a stronger interfacing to stiffen it. Any ideas? This is super fast and easy and you can make a lot in no time.Great for putting earrings, necklace or ring in for a Mother's day gift and mom can use the change purse too. Good tutorial.

This triangular purse is very cute. I think if you want to use it for loose change, you would need a stiff interfacing to keep the change from distorting the fabric and falling out. I'm thinking maybe a velcro (hook and loop) strip on the inside "triangle" would keep the change in place. For all other uses, the original design would easily work.
