I WOULD LIKE SOME PATTERNS FOR MAKING CHRISTMAS TREE SKIRTS THANK YOU

1. I saw a log cabin Christmas wreath in a Hancock store over 3 years ago. I have a pumpkin pattern in log cabin style. I guess I could adapt. 2 I saw either a table runner or table cloth in holiday (Christmas) fabric on Allfreesewing.com and now I can't get back to it. It seemed to be 4 squares paired with solid patches. Again, I guess I could improvise.

I like shiny ornaments that tinkle. Maybe a sleigh bells tutorial is in order? Or a wall hanger with bells on and a key for Santa hanging at the bottom?

While I think your ideas are often cute, I want to see some more quality ideas for gifts and decor. Not everybody is too busy to put more effort into their gift-giving and holiday decor. All the holiday magazines, websites and gift-suggestion lists are filled with "easy" or "quick" projects. How about some ideas that take a little more time and talent and are the kind of gifts somebody who doesn't always do everything last minute would feel good about giving to their friends and family...something that says "I cared enough to spend some time on your gift!"

Yay! I agree. Sometimes quick and easy just looks too homemade. My sewing teacher (56 years ago) used to say, "Make it tailor made; not homemade."

Great patterns and ideas and I plan to do a couple for gifts, but I wish there were some garland ideas.

Bunting is in this year and easy to make with two sizes of triangle, lettering and ribbon. You could even do some alphabet singles which slide on and off for the occasion you're celebrating. :o)

I like the red and white pillow best. I do have some red and some white flannel material. I bought flannel because I think felt sticks to it.

I enjoy old fashioned christmas ornaments.

I love a "Fantasy Food Theme" using cookies, cupcakes, gingerbread, & candy: peppermints; gumdrops; ribbon candy, etc. I LOVE Gingerbread houses, and decorating with "food" ornaments make for a colorful, fun addition to my house collection.l

Love the stocking. I am in the process of making stockings for our soldiers around the world. I volunteer at Operation Stars and Stripes ane we try to collect and send 6000 stockings every year. Check them on on facebook and their web site. We use a specific size stocking so everything fits into it. You can request a pattern. I absolutely love this site. thank you for all the sharing. lvs
