Hi indygal317 9727124, There is a link on the blogger's page that says "hanging dishtowel pattern2." The text is quite small, so you may have to look for it. If you click there, it will give you the printable pattern template. Hope this helps!

I love that fact that one dishtowel will make two of these hanging dishtowels. Great idea. The instructions and accompanying photos are easy to follow. I might use Velcro for the fold over tab instead of making a machine buttonhole other than that, these are great to hang anywhere in the kitchen.

I love that these can be customized to match MY kitchen. I can never find any I really like at the store.

These hanging dish towels are perfect for fishing...you just attach them to your seat(s), front and back. You then have a handy towel that is easy to get to when you need to wipe or dry your hands. My husband says they are absolutely perfect when he and his buddies are fishing for the day!!

These are so easy to make and I have received them for gifts as well. Use some darker colors and they are quite practical for sports, attach to the golf cart, or tennis bag, in the stable, and near the work bench or auto shop in the garage. The suggestion below of Velcro is a good alternative to buttons, and still another alternative is to make the top portion a larger opening and just loop the towel through it! Good for kids' backpacks for summer camp as well. Make slightly bigger for the bath, to keep toddlers and pets from pulling down towels while training them!

These are absolutely adorable. I will be making them for sure. But I am going to make one minor change. I will sew a button on the front as a decorative piece only. On the back side of the button piece I will place a piece of Velcro. Then add a piece to the top of the cloth. It will be a lot easier for me than having to button and unbutton .

If you have an Adobe Reader Error just right click and give permission to download. I made a few of these last night and enjoyed the pattern. I did choose to make a few alterations. I made the tab longer and I gathered the towel rather than pleated it. I also put batting in the top piece to fill it out, and a decorative trim to make the stitching look nice.

Thank you sew much for the pattern. I work at a nursing home and some of the ladies wanted to make these for our activity kitchen and I was stumped on how to do this project. This was easy for them to do and they had a great time making them. Sorry I am not allowed to take pictures at work or I would send you a picture of the towels. Again thank you sew much!

I was given hand towels for my kitchen just like this made from a terry towel. I always have one hanging out. Now I know how it's done I can make the tea towels to match. A great idea for Christmas and school fund raising sales!

I love this idea using fabric, that way I can make them using the same fabric as my curtians, potholders, table runners, ect. and all will match

I love this idea but the only thing I am going to change is rather than buttons I am going to use snaps--as that would seem and easier way to take them off and put them back on

I was taught how to make these towels back in the early 1970's when I became a bride. I was first taught to make them by crocheting the top tab. Later I saw them sewn. In crochet and sewing you can make them with a button or you can put ties at the top to tie them to a handle. Either way they are great! I've been married for 39 years and I still use them.

These things are addictive! Since I started using them in my kitchen I can hardly work in there if they aren't hanging around. Not just by the sink, but on the stove and fridge also.

After seeing similar towels in a store years ago I decided to go home & make my own. Well - I created MONSTERS. I cannot make these fast enough for friends and family members. They are great. I've only known of two people who weren't thrilled with them. Incidentally, I call them "knob towels."
