It is disappointing that (a) there's no pattern for the slip part of the dress for those of us who can't to just go buy a slip but have material at home, and (b) don't have a serger for the layer edges and there's no other method given that we could use. I was really excited about doing it. (

What a classic piece. I think I had a skirt like this one when I was a kid, all I did was twirl. I make mine in ombre fabric. I'd have to dye the fabric so I don't have to buy different colours. I didn't see a pattern though I could use a fitting dressto make this.

I can so see this flapper dress coming back in style today and this is an easy way to make it and to reuse what you have on hand. I can see this done out of a royal blue so you can either make from scrach or dye your slip and sheer curtains. Why not try and make one maybe mid length for a prom or wedding.

Beautiful dress, however I don't see a pattern one could actually follow to make it at home...

Hi! The blogger upcycled a pre-existing slip to create this piece. You could easily use a dress you have, as well. If not, try using one of our other free dress patterns before applying the layers of sheer organza. Hope that helps! Kaylee, Editor
