Of all the Halloween costume patterns for sewing, the pillowcase ghost dress just might be the easiest. Make this fun kid's dress from an old pillowcase for a Halloween to remember.

Your little girl will love wearing this dress to school or while trick-or-treating on Halloween. This adorable pillowcase dress is trendy and cute but is also spooky and festive.

Pair it with leggings and a long-sleeved tee for chilly fall weather. You won't find an easier, cuter, or more affordable DIY Halloween costume anywhere.

Wow. I love this ghost pillowcase dress and so fast and easy to make. If you have a cricut you can make it even faster. I love the big eyes and mouth and the contrast fabric on the bottom. I think I may do a ruffle on the bottom instead of the strip. You can use your imagination on the face you want. Super idea.

What a great idea! This would make a cute little night shirt after the trick or treating is all done! Add some glow in the dark or florescent fabric paint for some added fun! This is also a great way to use up some fabric scraps for the eyes and mouth and top ties. Alternatively, you could use some satin or cross grain ribbon to tie things together as well as fabric straps. A cute and practical easy to make project! Thanks for sharing!

Pillowcase is great for making Native American costume also. I glued on all the trim/fringe and she wore moccasins with headband and feather. Also works for Thanksgiving pagents.

How simple can it be and to be so adorable.. I love it... I think this could be adapted to a number of costumes or a sweet summer dress...
