This is such a happy quilt. A great pattern for a beginner. The appliques are very easy to cut out. A perfect way to learn how to free hand your quilting. My favorite stitch is stippling on quilts. The pattern would be great for spring as shown but think about in all the glorious colors of fall.

This is really fun and -- as my mom would say "whimsical." I can see it in all different colors too oranges and browns for fall. It would also be fun for Christmas, but that would probably need a new pattern.

I love a y pattern that brings in nature and uses fabric scraps! This leafy design is so pretty. If you really are industrious and want to glam it up a bit you could add some flat metallic ribbon or ric rac or other trim here and there to outline some of the leaves or the vines that intertwine the design! Thanks for sharing this fun and lovely project!

Such a bright and beautiful project. The instructions all seem very clear and easy to follow, even for someone like me with a very limited knowledge of quilting. I could get right up to the part where the blogger began to Free Motion Quilt and then I would have to do some serious research to find out what all those terms mean. For this reason I think it would be helpful if the blogger put in some links to various tutorials on Free Motion Quilting.
