What a cute dress and I love the pleats and the bow. I have always wanted to make a pillowcase dress but have not yet. You can get a pillowcase real cheap and even use bias in packagesto make it faster. You can add lace, ruffle or even tie dye a white pillowcase. Great dress.

I love the ideal of this dress but as a beginner I am looking for projects with printable templates as I am not confident in getting the sizing right as this design requires you to use a store bought dress to measure the neck and arm holes. It is a lovely design and the front could be embellished in a number of different ways such as using appliqus, buttons, sequins or anything else you might have in your stash. A fab idea, may be something I make when I am more confident.

There are so man variations and embellishments you can use to,really individualize this pattern. I have seen these done with bias tape or self fabric tape done around the arm holes! Add a ruffled hem fashioned from the cuff of the case. You can also use fabric selvage to selvage for a small size dress. So easy and so cute and comfortable for summer days!

This is actually very pretty. I have found most pillowcase fashions to look like, well, pillowcases. This one you'd never guess and it is something my niece would actually wear.
