DIY Baby Bib Pattern

  1. Print and cut out the template and tape it together.

Note: The pattern does not have a seam allowance and you are going to have to account for that while you are cutting your fabric.

  2. Place the two pieces of fabric you are going to be using right side together, trace the outline of your pattern leaving some room for seam allowance, and cut it out.

  3. Repeat step 2 with your cotton batting as well.

  4. Leave the two pieces of fabric with the right sides facing together and the batting at the bottom. Stitch all the way around leaving an opening at the bottom to turn right side out.

Pro Tip: Lock stitch on either side because there will be a little stress on that when you turn it right side out.

  5. Trim the seam allowance relatively close, and make some small diagonal cuts and clip all the curves. Turn your piece right side out.

  6. Turn up the opening to press it and top stitch between 1/8 and 1/4 inch around all the way the entire bib.

  7. Add a clasp of some sort to the end of your bib. You can also add a decorative button or flower.

I am going to make different styles of bibs for the new babies for gifts because they are so easy to make and all moms can use a lot of these. I like this bib and the button on it makes it different but I was a little afraid when I seen the button because I am not crazy about them but guess what no buttonhole it is a snap with a button . I love it. So fast easy and cute and there is a downloadable pattern. A super video to watch and written instructions too.
