Upcycle an old onesie into this adorable DIY Onesie Dress! To create this brand new outfit, simply sew a detachable Velcro wrap skirt that can be worn over the onesie. Because of the Velcro, the wrap skirt is a wonderful simple sewing project for a growing baby, since this skirt can easily be put on, removed, or resized. I am loving this simple onesie to make for your baby girl or as a gift for a baby. I really love that you can use it to dress up that plain onesie into a pretty dress. Anyone can make this. Very fast to do and a great beginner project. Once you make one you will not want to stop. Before you know it you will have a bunch of pretty dresses. Make some out of long and short sleeve onesies for all seasons. I think I would not sew the skirt to the onesie. I would add some velcro on ends so you can just change the onesie and make it a new outfit. Nice tutorial.

Why didn't I think of something like this when my girl was little??? A really cute idea. I might not permanently attach the skirt to the onsie so it could go from one to another in the same day, if necessary. She wore dresses a lot and this would have been pretty comfy during the summer.
