Oh my gosh this has to be the best skirt pattern I have come across, although it says intermediate above the single layer was super easy as I am fairly new to making clothes. The instructions are easy to follow and the skirt can be made in any size and length depending on your preference. There are great photos throughout showing each step and I am now looking forward to having a go at the two layer skirt so fingers crossed it comes out as well as the single one.

I know this is meant for kids (I guess... I dunno, it was made for a kid in this tutorial), but I'm making one for myself right now with a baby pink under layer and a golden yellow top layer for Easter dinner tomorrow. :) This was very easy to follow so I appreciate that (seeing as though I'm still pretty new to sewing)!
