Hello Heart Fabric Sachets

Use Fabric Fuse™ Liquid Adhesive and Fabric Fuse™ Tape from Therm O Web to quickly whip up sweet, thoughtful girlfriend gifts for Valentine’s Day, no sewing required!

Instructions

  1. Gather denim, fleece, dies and Fabric Fuse adhesives.

  2. For each sachet, die cut two hearts from white denim and one rolled flower from fleece. If you don’t own die-cutting equipment, simply trace similar shapes from around your home onto fabrics or print patterns from the Internet.

  3. To join the hearts, cut several shorter strips of Fabric Fuse Tape to fit around edges of heart and press tape to wrong side of one fabric heart. Piece tape strips together, leaving no gaps.

  4. Remove release liners from tape strips on one edge of heart. Adhere second heart to first, lining up edges of shapes. Press firmly to secure tape.

  5. Continue removing portions of release liners and pressing hearts together to secure, leaving a small opening for filling. Fill sachet with lavender or potpourri. Remove last release liners and press opening closed.

  6. Roll flower die cut into spiral rose; secure bottom with Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive. Hold in place until dry, about one minute.

  7. Using ink blending tool, ink heart edges light brown. Ink flower edges gold. Tie ribbon bow for each sachet. Using Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive, adhere bow and flower to top of each sachet. Let dry.

  8. Stamp “hello” onto white cardstock using black ink. Die cut into small tag shape. Using ink blending tool, ink tag edges gold. Tie tag to ribbon bow using white string.

  9. If desired, hand-cut small leaf from pale green felt. Stitch embroidery floss vein down center. Using Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive, adhere leaf to heart beneath flower. Let dry.
