- Most of these homemade hand warmers will be heated in the microwave for 30-40 seconds. Be sure you keep an eye on it while it heats. Also, it's better to start with less time to see what it needs. You can always heat it longer.
- It's important to remember that if you're planning to use the microwave to heat up your hand warmers, they need to be 100% cotton or natural material. Anything synthetic, such as polyester or fleece, can be dangerous to heat as it is made with plastic.
