BERNINA Announced As International Dealer of the Month By the Vacuum & Sewing Dealers Association
BERNINA recognized for excellence by the VDTA-SDTA.
January 31, 2014 - Northbrook, IL - Good news travels fast in the sewing community. Members of AllFreeSewing were thrilled to find that the Vacuum & Sewing Dealers Association (hereafter, VDTA-SDTA) has recognized BERNINA Dealer, Sew-Creative, as International Dealer of the Month for February, 2014. As a consortium that supports vacuum cleaner, sewing machine, and quilting retailors since 1981, the VDTA-SDTA certainly recognizes fine dealership when they see it.
In a press release announcing this distinction, Les Weaver, BERNINA Dealer and owner of Sew-Creative, says BERNINA and Sew Creative are, "proud to be recognized by the Vacuum & Sewing Dealers Association . . . Our business continues to thrive and we are grateful to be able to provide the community with top-quality BERNINA sewing machines, accessories, and education.”
While members of the AllFreeSewing community offer hearty congratulations to everyone at BERNINA, we're hardly surprised that they received this distinction. AllFreeSewing has had the great pleasure of working closely with BERNINA on several projects. Beginning in September of 2013, BERNINA generously contributed a BERNINA 215 to our National Sewing Month celebration series. Thousands of our fellow sewists clamored at the chance to win the BERNINA 215, giving way to one of the largest discussions AllFreeSewing has ever had over one piece of equipment. It's no wonder that BERNINA caught the VDTA-SDTA's attention for their excellent dealership.
Months after National Sewing Month have not lessened BERNINA's presence on AllFreeSewing. In harmony with our drive to provide free projects to sewists of all levels, BERNINA offers free sewing tutorials, some of which are featured on AllFreeSewing. Instructional videos like How to Sew a Blind Hem, How to Hem Jeans, and Adding a Corded Ruffle offer both visual and written guidelines for essential sewing skills. Since their appearance, these video tutorials continue to rank on AllFreeSewing.
Needless to say, BERNINA has a strong, and ever strengthening, presence in the sewing community. Our congratulations go out to them for this recognition from the VDTA-SDTA.
