This heart tote is super cute as is the the striped dress! I'll have to go back and look at that tutorial as well. I have never sewn with vinyl before. Does anyone have tips for sewing with this type of fabric? Is a thicker thread needed than the normal all purpose thread? Also, has anyone made this with another type of fabric instead of the vinyl?

My sister sew on vinyl a good bit she uses a new needle and good thread. If it is thick like leather you will need a much thicker needle.

What a great design for a tote. Do you know someone who would love this? I am thinking this would be ideal to make for my daughter to fill with bath time goodies for her husband for Valentines's Day.what do you think? If it was done in waterproof fabric it could be used as a bath pillow.

I'm a sucker for anything DIY Kate Spade, so I am in love with this purse. Although I want to try making it in hot pink instead of red. I think that would really pop with black and white.
