Wow, I never knew steel wool could be harmful to the newer pins we use now. This video claims that pins made today can have the metal rubbed off them when put into steel wool, thus making them more prone to rust down the road, as opposed to the older pins that had benefit. Though I suppose if you are still using older pins, it wouldn't hurt, but how many of us sort our pins?
