Forget the lights, the ornaments, the villages, and the candles - it's all about the Christmas table runners! This Deck the Halls Christmas Table Runner is such a festive and fun piece of holiday decor. It lends a cozy, homey feel to your Christmas table settings and really brings everything together, not unlike the holiday itself. You'll definitely have a few scraps left over from this project, which you can put to use making matching potholders or napkin rings. Why spend money on expensive Christmas decorations when you could make your own gorgeous table runner yourself?

A scrappy table runner for the holidays is perfect to begin now. Not sure I would use as much fabric as the instructions called for, however I like the idea of sewing together various bits of fabric and then use that to construct the table runner. Matching pot holders would be a nice addition as well.
