A really lovely skirt and perfect for our current summer here in South Africa. I think I will go for a softer fabric, one that drapes and falls beautifully. Having read the pattern it really does seem easy to make so once i have paid a visit to my local fabric store in the morning I'll be all set to start!

Skirt patterns are quickly becoming my favourite sewing projects. This pleated maxi skirt isn't complicated at all, ideal for beginners. This skirt flatters all shapes and gives you that elegant look for summer evening parties because of its light and breezy feel.

I love wearing maxi skirts in the summer, because they keep you cool while still remaining modest. The graphic print of this design will definitely ensure you stand out from the crowd.

I love the weight of the skirt the heavy fabric makes it look expensive. I feel like the print is slightly overwhelming for this length of skirt but maybe if it was paired with a simple long-sleeve black or gray shirt, it would tone down the pattern slightly. Beautiful idea!
