You can be comfortable yet stylish this summer with the Sunbeam Oversized DIY Top. This sewing tutorial is very simple and all you need is a yard and a half of fabric, matching thread, and a semi-fitted t-shirt as a guide. It’ll be your favorite top to throw on this summer because it’s breathable and bright. DIY clothes are so much cheaper than buying clothing at the store and they’re guaranteed to fit you correctly. Make these tops in a bunch of colors to have a whole bunch of options for everyday wear.

An oversized dolman top like this one is easy to sew and very comfortable to wear. The tutorial shows a hand drawn pattern to use as a guide and your own fitted tee as a pattern. To have the top oversized, I think I would use a more boxy style tee to get the flowy look of this top.

Unfortunately the author of the Blog on which this pattern is found has run into problems with the photos displacing the text and making it a challenge to read. However the diagrams provided , and the main body of instructions should be more than sufficient for the advanced beginner to make this beautiful top. I feel this is a pattern I would use again and again, with different fabrics and colors to create new looks.

This top is basically like wearing sunshine. I love how simple and breezy it looks. Perfect for summer! You will definitely stand out in it.
