For evenings out to go with trousers or a slim fitting skirt, I like to wear a silky top. This easy pattern is perfect for me to make if I am in a hurry. I can use a pair of bargain store scarves or hem two rectangles of fabric to make this. Would you make one with a self back and patterned front? This could be an interesting experiment.

Thank you! This is the best, most useful site i've found in a long time!

Takes something that is completely simple and turns it into something you need a dressmakers form for.

Thanks, very easy to follow, a great site.

Signed up hoping to find easy things to sew with material I've had printed at Spoonflower. So this is the first I thought I'd try.... but you need a dressmaker's form! What beginner is expected to have that? Plus the material is from pre-made scarves.

Love it - have to make some for my Great Grandaughters

worked fine for me. Great tutorial, very explicit and simple to do for sew and non-sew folks, only requiring about 1/2" total stitching (more optional).

I had the same problem. Boohoo!

would love to try it but the pattern line does not work!

LOVE LOVE This top... But the sewing pattern link does not work
