This has got to be the cutest beat EVER!! And although I am going to be making one for a brand new nephew I am determined to make one for myself too, lol. He can sit in my workroom and keep me company during the many hours when I am working in there alone. Thank you for this gorgeous, free pattern!

Thank you for sharing this great pattern. We have made several similar bears over the years as momento keepsakes, using the old fabric grandma's and great grandma's soft and well worn items, that the kids remembered her in, and always keeps her near. My friend also used her late hubby's flannel shirts.... The bear brings a tender smile and a hug.... Great pattern !

Just had to say Thank You for the pattern. Made it with baby blankets my grandson had and his mom wanted a keepsake. Turned out beautifully. Good instructions, beautiful pattern. Thank you so much for this gift . Can't send picture right now, but will try later.

I love teddy bears and so do children and even some adults. This joyful (great name as that is how you feel when you receive a teddy) is so adorable. I love that it is two toned so you can make for a baby shower and do blue for boy, pink for girl or yellow or green if you do not know or whatever is their favorite color. It is always super special when you receive something homemade because it was made with love. So if you have ever wanted to make teddy try this tutorial.

The name of this bear brings a smile. Having made many softly stuffed bears over the years, I never tire of finding another bear pattern! The contrast color for paws, nose and ears helps to define the bear best. For small children, safety eyes (although hard to find) or embroidered eyes and nose are best.
