This is a great little pumpkin placemat! You could go several ways with this.... Keep it plain and flat to use as an actual table placemat, because if you use buttons and other bulky embellishment, the plates will not sit flat on the table. Alternatively, this cold be a fun project and learning mat for kids, by using felt or some different styles of Velcro backed eyes, mouth with teeth, nose, for the pumpkin and the kids can create different faces on it to keep them contented for a while..... Or perhaps help them down from the Halloween sugar rush! Great idea and pretty too!
