You don't have to be an origami expert to be familiar with the classic paper airplane. With a blank sheet of paper and a few simple folds, you could become a pilot in seconds! Now your kids can live their own flying dreams with this Soaring Seams DIY Toy Airplane. Modeled after a paper airplane, this toy sewing pattern irons and sews the fabric in place instead of folding it. It even uses stabilizer to maintain the airplane's shape (and aerodynamic integrity!). Build an entire fleet for a collection of flying toys your children will never let touch the ground.

I have made plenty of these planes with paper and even the wooden ones in kit but fabric I have not or have I even thought to. I really like the Fabric on that has the contrast fabric. I can see making some and having a challange on whos flies better. So easy to make with scrap fabric or fat quarter. Great idea.

A plane made out of fabric? I've never seen such a thing! How cool.
