Oh my, this receiving blanket is just so darling that I want to make it right this very minute, lol! I would have loved to have given one to our beautiful brand new baby nephew but, never mind, there will be lots of other babies in the future. The satin edging gives it such a professional look - I just LOVE it to bits!

Wow I have been sewing my binding on the wrong way all this time. I have been putting the binding as close to end as I could and some places did not catch so I had to take the stitching back out and do again. I was trying to make the blanket bigger with the binding instead of using it for that finished look. This is a perfect tutorial and if you follow this it will be fast and simple and you can make that special gift for that baby shower in no time at all. Pick a super soft fabric with colors of the nursery or the theme the parents are going with or just some fabric you found and liked. After all it is made with love from the heart. I will be making my receiving blankets like this for now on.Thanks.
