I have made sock monkeys before, from the original Rockford red heeled work socks and they always come out charming even with just hand sewing, however this fuzzy striped sock monkey seems to be made out of soft warm bed socks. How delightful. The instructions are very clear and accompanying pictures great to follow along.

I already had this sock monkey in mind recently when I was out and found some fuzzy socks just like she used for her monkey. I love that look and grabbed a pair. Her illustrated tutorial is really simple to follow and there is a short and long video if you want to see those. There is also a pattern to download for the pieces, but I found her diagram easy to follow and used that instead. This was a really fun project to sew. Thank you for sharing this craft!

I love crafts that make me smile and this one definitely is one of them. What a cute gift idea! I am saving this one because I would love to make it someday and give it to someone to make him or her smile, too!

I have never owned or bought a sock monkey but I know children like them. I am glad so glad to see it posted here. I have got to run to my dollar store where I just saw the fuzzy socks yesterday and get me a pair to make this cute sock monkey well maybe a few. This will make great gifts for a child's birthday a baby shower or a just because I love you. I love to have control of picking out my own colors and changing the project to add a few things to make it different. This is a good tutorial but the plus is there is a video too. So if you have ever wanted to make your own sock monkey here you go.

OH my, these remind me of the old argyle sock monkeys from my childhood, with a new and better twist! I love those soft socks and you can get them at a decent at local neighborhood stores in all colors! This would make a cute baby shower gift, or a get well lovey for a little one to hug! Love this softer updated version of a classic toy! Super!
