I love making purses from placemats. It gives your bag a very professional look, and the variety is endless. I have used this fold-over design and machine embroidered a medallion on the flap which gave it a polished look. I added a chain where the flap folds over as a handy way to carry it hands-free, or it could be tucked inside. Dont you think this would add a lot to your outfit?

Saw some of these in a gift shop in Middle TN. Have made several with placemats I had on hand. Placemats I had were "pre-lined" so have not had to line one, which really speeds up the process. Old jewelry is great for emblishments.
