Do you struggle to iron seams? Then you haven't discovered the Pressing Aid Tutorial. This tutorial provides step-by-step directions for creating ironing tools. You will find the tailor's ham and sausage incredibly useful when pressing seams. This particular tutorial uses cotton canvas, but feel free to experiment with softer cotton fabrics. You can turn them into pretty sewing tools with fun patterned fabric. Either way, youll be ironing seams in no time with these great tools!

I had never thought of making a more sturdy alternative to the rolled up towel technique for pressing curved hems. This is really great and very easy to make (especially if your daughter has rabbits as I could steal some of their sawdust). The tutorial is really easy to follow and make, you do need to make sure that you follow all the instructions and stuff your sausage completely otherwise you will just iron it flat when doing your seams. This has made it so much easier to iron my small toy shirts without making them flat and out of shape.

This is one sewing accessory that you will be using all the time. Sign up for our free newsletter to see this featured next week along with other projects you didn't know you needed!
