Just because business casual means you have to cover up and keep professional does not mean you cannot have some fun with your working girl clothes. Learn how to sew a dress that is entirely appropriate for an office setting, but comes with some seriously sassy flair. The Color Blocked Work Dress Pattern shows you have to make a two-colored dress that fits like a glove. This dress pattern for sewing requires several yards of a comfy knit fabric. Using knit fabrics with this DIY dress will ensure that is as comfy as it is cute.

This color blocked dress is right on trend. A great way to transform a plain sheath style dress into something unique. This really may be the perfect work dress. I imagine adding a simple blazer over the dress would really be chic. The tutorial is quite easy to follow. Choice of fabric and color is what makes this dress so charming.

This is one I will have to try, because I love it-but NOT for the office, if you work in a conservative environment!

This dress pattern is so simple, yet sophisticated! It's definitely perfect for the office. Plus, it looks easy enough for a beginning sewist like myself.
