This maxi dress is lovely and the tutorial shows how simple it is to cut and sew, no pattern needed! I believe it would look just as attractive without the attached ruffle flounce. The dress does need some sort of belting to give it shape perhaps a self-fabric belt might be an alternative way to complement this summer dress.

Hi! Since this pattern is created by tracing an old piece, you can make it in just about any size. If you do not have a tank you can trace, you could easily trace and then elongate a t-shirt or find a piece at a thrift store in your size to use as a guide. Hope that helps!

I love this dress, and it looks lovely on you. Seems to be easy to make and comfortable, you will look stylish everyday. I'm going to try this and alter it a little for my niece that is expecting. Thank you for the idea.
