I have made several of these rod pocket curtains over the years and they are so easy to do. If you use lighter fabrics, a trick I used was to sew a nickel into the corners of each hem and then they hang perfectly. I have also used metal slugs from electric boxes for weights, or metal washers from the tool box! Of course, you can also buy real drapery weights too! Easy, fast and practical! Thanks for sharing!

I have been making curtains for my house for over 30 years and now I make them for my kids houses. There is nothing like picking out your own fabric to make it so much different than what everyone else has. The rod pocket curtains are the easiest ones to make and once you make one pair you will never stop. I would suggest only using drapery weight fabric because it holds up better. I always line mine with either regular lining or blackout for rooms you want dark. If you change your curtains you will feel like you remolded the whole room.

Rod pocket curtains are easy to make add a valance and alter the look. These curtains can dress a window or shower curtain. Lined for a drafty room or a sun brighted one. Use home decor fabric or cotton with quilted free motion design, ideas are boundless when decorating.
