An adult-sized mermaid tail blanket seems like such fun to cozy into. Made from soft fleece fabric, this might be an entertaining and unique gift idea. Not sure my printer would appreciate the 22 printed pages for the pattern however the size of the blanket would seemingly require that many.

I have the crochet pattern for this mermaid tail blanket and I have found it somewhat difficult. I'd love to try this free pattern made out of fleece as I think it would be easier to make. I'd actually love to have my teenage daughter make it herself and she could make some for friends. Has anyone tried this project with teens or tweens doing the stitching?
