Thank you, Thank you!!!! I have been trying to figure out how to do this, without creating waste. Family members thought I was a little touched in the head when mentioned. I have proof now and I no longer share craft thoughts with them.

I really love this idea of dressing up a plain pair of flip flops. The instructions seem easy enough. I wonder if the updated flip flops to cute summer sandals would hold up well with continued wear. Perhaps rubber cement or some other strong adhesive glue would be needed to hold fast the fabric, fusible batting and heavy weight interfacing to the rubber soles.

Theses are so cute! I love the idea of having flip flops that no one else has. Flamino Toes the author has written an excellent well-detailed pattern. I will be making a couple pairs of these in the next few days. I am so excited.

Have you made any of these refashion flip flops yet? How did the glue hold? Anything that you would do different next time? I love these flip flops because I cannot wear the regular because of the toe piece and I cannot find any sandles I like so these will be great. I love the fabric flowers on top but I can see using pre purchased ones if you do not want to make any. Got to go get some flip flops and make some.
