Basic Headband

"If you sew with knits you've probably got a few cute knit fabric scraps laying around. Put them to good use by making these knit headbands. This is a very basic accessory that can easily be made in just a few steps. I find these headbands to be great for keeping my hair under control and out of my face when I am working out. And if you've got a t-shirt that you no longer need you can use the fabric from it to make these as well."

I had a really nice pair of pajamas in a floral cotton poly blend that stretched a bit, but the sleeves and hem was way too long so I made several, headbands like this from the shortened fabric. They came out just great and are washable! This is a nice idea and a great way to use fabric remnants or old clothes items that still, have some good areas. Great project!

Got some scrap knits or old T-shirts laying around then look what you can make! Some headbands for friend, granddaughter, daughter, yourself or how about stocking stuffers. This is a great project for girls scouts or even teen get togethers. So easy, fast and fun and you can make them with colors to match an outfit or make the headband size and width you like. Super tutorial.
