How to Sew a Bowtie

From the Blogger: "Bowties are the perfect accessory for that person in your life who loves to add a little flair to their outfits! They are a small way to add personality to your style without going all out.

They can be made from almost any cotton or satin fabric. They are great to sew up for a wedding as a guest or even if you're looking for something unique for your wedding party. This is a simple way to create something classic!"

have made many bowties for weddings and just because and have found different tutorials and videos to make them but so far this one is easier than any I have seen. It saves lot of steps and finding middle so much easier and is not so thick that it takes forever to fold the bow down. this is going to be y new tutorial to use. If you have ever wanted to make your own ties this is where to start. Bow ties do not have to be just for formal attire anymore. Pick a nice thee one or colorful fabric and watch the compliments you get for your one of a kind bow tie.

Love this idea and instructional! I had made bow ties years ago when the style was predominately huge bows on guys! Made a matching gown to his tie! This pattern is better with the formal clasp in the back. I made mine with a Velcro closure so it was easier to attach for the wearer and I put in enough length that the band size could still be adjusted a bit. But I think the attachment here would be less bulky than the Velcro especially with having to be hidden under the collar. Love the idea!
