This is a very useful technique to bring back some stretchiness to an overly stretched-out sleeve knit cuff. Some shirring elastic and large eye needle are what work the magic to restoring the knit cuff. I imagine the effort to repair the cuffs would work for a much loved sweater so it becomes wearable once again.
