I have to admit, I was relieved when I read the ruffle technique because I have used it myself! It goes so much faster to fold as you go under the needle, and when viewed on the bed it looks so good! I would probably opt to use this more as a bed skirt just over or around the box spring rather than as a full bedspread but I do,like the look of the longer ruffle from top of the bed to the bottom! Great project, love it and thanks for sharing!

Simply genius and beautiful. Wow. I have always done from scratch and you need a lot of open space for cutting the fabric for a king bed and tracing around the sheet on the bed makes it so much easier and pinning the ruffle on the sheet is easier than pinning it off. These are some great tips but I would ruffle the sheet before pinning. A great way to make your room look like you changed it. If you want to make it look even more dramatic add a wide ribbon on bottom or hem before you gather the ruffle. Great tutorial to follow.

Use a thin slice of soap for marking darker fabrics and a blue washable pen for the lighter.....also I think I would get a flat sheet to attach the ruffle to and lay it on top of the box springs and the mattress would hold it down..I have one with elastic and my cat pulls it down....

I think I wouldn't want to wash and dry all that fabric every week!
