I have made this pattern a bit larger in size for fragrance sachets which is filled with dried lavender I hand picked! I think the little chickens are so cute and would make such great fabric weights and such a good way to,use up fabric scraps! I would be careful adding essential fragrance oils to your weights to ensure they would not soil your fabric for your sewing project. This is a great idea for a gift for a sewer and very practical! Thanks for sharing!

The applications for these chicken fabric weights are endless. Besides being completely adorable they can be used all around the home. Furthermore, they help ease the growing pile of fabric scraps too. I like to add trinkets to holiday stockings. Here is one for this year.

These whimsical chicken fabric weights are too cute! There is a video tutorial to follow. Great beginner project as well as a quick scrappy project for gift giving. Sewing weights come in handy when securing a tissue pattern to fabric and are a great improvement over pinning. Easy to do sewing project for anyone.
