Something a bit more to scale for a child would be more attractive on this dress. For instance, less ruffle cut a bit narrower and loose the snake ruffle down the dress, not attractive. These dresses would be good for stenciling with fabric paints or embroidery, the addition of colored bias trim and or lace at the neckline, arm holes, hem etc. would liven it up and look appropriate for a child.
