Linen Napkins

Make these linen napkins for your next party or to use in your kitchen. This easy sewing project shows you how to make linen napkins to spice up your kitchen. These linen napkins have an adorable pattern to add a splash of something a little more fancy and elegant while also keeping a fun table setting. Having cloth napkins rather than paper napkins reduces the waste produced while also creating something that does the same thing as the store bought paper napkins. In addition, creating personal cloth napkins saves money because the need to buy paper napkins is no longer there. This free pattern is the perfect way to minimize paper usage while also adding more style to the typical table setting at the same time.

Any fabric or hobby store that sells fabric can advise you in the type of fabric best suited for your napkin project. Linen is a woven fabric that is elegant but most likely will have to be ironed after laundering. You can get cotton weaves or cotton polyester blends that may not need ironing, but their absorbancy feel will be different. It is all a matter of personal preference and use. Of course, color selection too! Napkins are practical for home use and as a lovely gift too!

I have been wanting to make my own napkins to cut down on paper ones so I am so glad I came across this tutorial. The only reason I have not made any napkins is I was not sure what kind of fabric to use. Is Linen the best? This is so supereasy and so fast that everyone should make them. I like that you can leave them plain, put on lace or use a border the choice is yours. Great project to learn to sew too. Thanks.

Hi loritaaustin70 1469434 - We would suggest contacting the pattern designer directly to find out where she got her materials. You can find her contact information on her blog in the "About Me" section. I hope this helps! -The editors of AllFreeSewing
