Much as I would love to view this project, having to disable my antivirus program to do it seems suspicious to me. Three websites refuse to open the link to the pattern - Edge, Firefox Chrome - saying it is not safe and is an unsecure connection and has threats to my computer and data. Perhaps you could obtain another link to the pattern that is SAFE? Thank you!

I must admit that I also did not know what a Ruana was as the other comments stated until I saw this project. This is super cute, fun and easy. I could make this within a few hours or less and wear the same day. This project is perfect for this fall weather that's not changing to winter and now most fall fabrics are on sale! This is a win win situation and I'm eager to get started!

Never heard of a Ruana before but I have seen people wearing something that looked like a blanket and always thought that it looked warm and comfty. I will have to make some of these for me and grand kids to stay warm. They are always taking their blankets in the morning for their rides to school. I have seen some real warm pretty wool fabric that would make a very pretty Ruana. A great and easy tutorial. Anyone make any?

I didn't know what a ruana was until recently, but it definitely seems to be worth the hype! This would be a fantastic accessory to wear outside this fall or in a cold office.
