I was pleasantly surprised by this faux Roman window treatment. I did not think Roman shades and easy would ever be in the same sentence but this tutorial changed my mind completely. I did not line the shade but the drapery fabric I used did not require it. Perfectly chick and easy to sew window treatment.

Meekonelaura - they are fixed into place...however, I wanted to make real ones too...and after perusing the comments in the pattern blog...I came across a simple (looks to be...haven't tried it quite yet, but I have the supplies...it's just getting to it) way to do Roman Shades. Link to this blog site: http://littlegreennotebook.blogspot.com/2009/02/make-shades-out-of-mini-blinds.html?commentPage=2 and have fun! Hope this helps!

They don't pull up. They are fixed. They are pretty.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but how do you pull these up. They would be perfect for an idea I have in my living room, but I need to know. Thanks. Laura
