I really love this skirt because the shape feels very true to its time period it's something women would wear day to day in the 50s. I also love that beautiful plaid fabric.

Great little skirt pattern and this button down style really looks sharp and is a classic. Love this plaid pattern, and I could see another option for fabric like this would be to use a coordinating solid color piece for the waistband in one of the colors in the body fabric so the matching of the plaids is not an issue, which, given the smaller gathers at the top may make for a cleaner look....of course this is just another option, and also a good one if you are shy of enough fabric.

Cute! The plaid pattern looks especially good on this skirt, but I'm sure it would also look great in a solid or floral pattern. I could see this being a great summer-to-fall transition piece!
