Transform a pretty cotton print into a stylish tunic dress that can be made in just a few hours with this 2 Hour Tunic Dress Tutorial. An adorable spring dress that can be worn on its own or over pants or leggings, this DIY dress tutorial takes only 2 hours to make. This easy dress tutorial comes with a matching belt, meaning you can accentuate your waist to show off your curves or belt your dress at the hip, giving it a fun 80s vibe. While this easy tunic is perfect for cotton, it's also a great project to play with different fabrics, and would look stunning in a jersey knit or even denim. Basic pattern with good added details. You do need a bit experience sewing clothes first though so that you know to add the little details. I like the fact you use a sweater as a basic pattern and go from there. Also it helps if you make a nice facing for the neck so it lays right. I will make it with a knit fabric to have that extra "give". Thank you.

I like this simple easy, breezy dress design. It does take only about 2 hours to make. The pattern is self-drawn. I find the hints in the tutorial are especially helpful such as curving the underarm seam, making the sleeves a little shorter and increasing the overall length of the dress. Great ideas given by the author.

Nice thanks

Tunic dress tutorial is simple to follow instructions for this tunic dress. I like this to make and use as a pinfore tunic for a layered look. I'm not into sewing garments, but this is an exception.
