I think Monarch butterflies are amazing or any really and I love this butterfly costume and I bet it would lead to many hours of dress up. Great for a costume too. I can see it made out of any color of butterfly you desire. With the wings and attena it makes a finished look. Would love to see a video done of tis too.

This is the most unique butterfly costume I have seen and the instructions are surprisingly easy to follow. Of course the brilliantly colored orange and black Monarch butterfly makes for a great Halloween subject. The skirt and wings simply have the orange free-hand shapes fused to black felt. Love this idea.

GASP! This is so stunningly beautiful! I want to make an adult sized one for my Hallowe'en costume this year. I would also like to make child sized versions for my kids' dress up centre at school. I just know some wee-ones who would fall in love with this butterfly skirt! I also really like the ease of this pattern. This is going straight to my Pinterest board!
